Description

Join the DCSEU and the Building Innovation Hub for a virtual roundtable designed for owners and operators of commercial building facilities in the District. This roundtable will help owners and operators of buildings 25,000 square feet or more understand how smart building controls can reduce energy costs while supporting occupant comfort and safety.

Participants will learn how building automation systems (BAS), HVAC controls, scheduling strategies, and real-time energy data can help identify low-cost operational improvements. The session will also highlight DCSEU incentives and technical assistance to support energy-saving upgrades. The Building Innovation Hub will discuss updates on current and future Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS) and Benchmarking cycles and the revised BEPS Guidebook.

Agenda Highlights:

  • BEPS Guidebook Revisions: Learn about how to close out the exemption flexibility for financial distress and explanation of the BEPS Score and make the most of Building Innovation Hub resources.
  • DCSEU Incentive Programs: Explore incentives for building-wide energy efficiency upgrades, including the benefits of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Controls to reduce energy use and costs.
  • Customer Spotlight: Hear from a local commercial property owner about a recent controls project, upgrades, and practical lessons learned.
