Program
Overview of ASHRAE Standard 211 Commercial Building Energy Audits & the District of Columbia’s Building Energy Performance Standards
Energy audits are important tools for improving energy efficiency in existing buildings. The emergence of Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS) in the region—in Washington D.C., Montgomery County, Maryland, and the State of Maryland— concurrently increases the potential utility of energy audits while changing owner requirements to achieve long-term energy savings and fulfill other regulatory requirements. This two-part seminar describes scoping, outcome considerations, BEPS requirements, and best practices for energy audits in support of DC BEPS and an overview of ASHRAE/ACCA/ANSI Standard 211-2018.
Montgomery County’s Building Energy Performance Standards
Montgomery County in Maryland began rolling out its BEPS program this year. This seminar provides an introduction to navigating Montgomery County’s new BEPS program, including requirements, timelines, and resources available to improve building energy performance.
