With grant support from the Municipal Investment Fund (MIF), DOEE and DC Green Bank are working to develop new underwriting standards rooted in building science to support financing for National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF)–qualified projects. This workshop is designed for MIF project partners, energy consultants, auditors, retro commissioning agents, general contractors, engineers, renewable project developers, and service providers.

Participants will receive a deep dive into the Investor Confidence Project (ICP) and its Investor Ready Energy Efficiency (IREE) certification, including how to become an ICP Project Developer or Quality Assurance Assessor. Attendees will learn how standardized underwriting and project origination practices can reduce risk, attract investment, and create new market opportunities for energy efficiency and decarbonization projects.

The session is part of a broader initiative to establish consistent lending practices, build a local ecosystem of skilled project developers and reviewers, and connect high-quality projects with favorable financing terms. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for in-person attendees (food and beverage details TBC). See registration details for agenda.
