Join Emerald Cities Collaborative to learn about ReTune DC, a free, five-month training series facilitated by Emerald Cities Collaborative (ECC) DMV Region for entry- to mid-level professionals and small business owners in Washington, DC—prioritizing those in Wards 5, 7, and 8—to build knowledge, hands-on experience, and connections to career and project
opportunities in building retuning.
Building retuning is a low- or no-cost process that improves the performance and efficiency of existing buildings by identifying and correcting operational issues within building systems.
In partnership with Steven Winter Associates (SWA), participants will receive training that covers a wide range of areas including:
- Building systems and equipment
- Energy analysis
- The retuning process
- Local regulations
- Policy
- Environmental justice context.
The ReTune DC program offered at no cost annd runs August to December 2026, with in-person and virtual sessions offered primarily on evenings and weekends to accommodate working professionals. Graduation will take place on December 15, 2026.
This information session will provide an overview of the program, eligibility requirements, cohort options, and the application process. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn how ReTune DC can support their professional growth and business development goals.
