Compliance with the BEPS framework is a necessary first step for buildings to do their part to enable DC to achieve its ambitious commitment to 100% renewables by 2032 and slashing greenhouse gas emissions by 60% by 2030. Hosted by USGBC National Capital Region on October 18, this Thought Leadership Panel will provide an overview of DC’s BEPS requirements as well as strategies and guidelines for facility managers, owners, and developers to help their existing buildings meet or exceed BEPS targets. Our panel will represent perspectives from the policy side, including individuals involved in drafting DC’s BEPS, comparisons to BEPS in other cities and counties, and the view of practitioners engaged in the process of working to meet BEPS.
