The green buildings sector is crucial in the drive towards a sustainable future, yet there is a skilled labor gap. Two complementary initiatives are using Washington, DC as a proving ground to simultaneously decarbonize the buildings sector and increase wealth for low- and moderate-income communities.
In this session, we will hear from a small business owner about her experience with the incubator program led by Emerald Cities Collaborative, a national nonprofit. We will also hear from Julius Education, a company using data and analytics to deliver inclusive pathways programs for job seekers through tools such as Green Buildings Career Maps.
The discussion will be moderated by the Building Innovation Hub, a project of the Institute for Market Transformation.
